Norway Today - Saturday 4th @ 19.00

The play is essentially a conversation between two young people who belong to a generation where most of their interactions happen through technology, mediated by it, and how they almost "re-discover" human contact when they meet someone who is similar, and have one thing in common- a desire to die.

It presents, presumably, the last few moments in the life of a 19-year old boy and a 20-year old girl, as they share their perspectives on why nothing life has to offer interests them, and how “living” is never the same as just “existing”. In a world overflowing with possibilities, it is tough to pick one. So much so, that all choices start to look and feel the same, right up to the point that rejecting one means rejecting them all- and Life itself.

The Jazz Conductor - Saturday 28th @ 19.00

'The Jazz Conductor' speaks of music and war and hope the way only a lover full of dreams can. It speaks of dissent and the forces out to crush it, quietly gives evidence against free will, without appearing too cynical and brings to life the romance and nostalgia of the jazz age, love for theatre and good old family amidst unspeakable horrors. It makes one think of how perfectly nice people can go from innocent bystanders to reluctant participants to probable volunteers to atrocities being committed, and its relevance hits dangerously close to home.

Cast: Ahalya Narayanan, Cassandra Eltham, Nina Karun and Swethlana Saraswat.

The Dandelion's story - Thursday 19th @ 19.30

The play draws on an endearing Korean folktale that will appeal to both children and adults alike. The Dandelions Story is about a beautiful flower which is born with the help of something dirty, trivial and unexpected. Adapted from a best-selling children's book, the production is a visual and aural treat that highlights the universal truth, that everything has its purpose in the cycle of life.
