Somewhat Like a Balloon - Friday 22nd @ 20.00 & Sunday 24th @ 18.30
Somewhat Like a Balloon. A boy wakes up one morning to find his father missing and begins a journey from home in search of him. The play uses imagery and objects to follow the boy on his travels, which is akin to a treasure-hunt. The people he meets, the places he visits and the characters he encounters on his journey form the crux of the plot. The play explores the idea of ‘real’ and ’unreal’ through the performance. Whether the boy find his father or goes back home; whether the idea of ‘home’ the way he once understood it still exists are questions he encounters constantly during his travels.
