The 18th Dance DISCourse at and by the Alliance Française de Bangalore, in cultural partnership with the dance scholar Shri Ashish Khokar will focus on male dancing of Mysore School. Now a reference point Guru D. Kesava settled in Basel, Switzerland decades ago brings to light the Purusha Anga. He learnt exclusively from the legendary Mysore Guru Venkatachalakshmana known for the Rajdasi style as prevalent in Mysore court. The same style on male form is an important research tool for reconstructing the form.
