Dear Friends,
Please join us for a double event on Tuesday 8 December 2015 at 7pm: a talk by artist, design researcher and educator Zack Denfeld followed by a music performance by Please Dance to Weird Music.
Zack Denfeld will talk about the activities of the Center for Genomic Gastronomy, an independent research institute engaged in exploring, examining and understanding the genomes and biotechnologies that make up the human food systems of planet earth. The Center is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge at the intersection of food, culture, ecology and technology.
Please Dance to Weird Music will present a spectacle and performance with discarded film strips, second hand office stationary and plants. Part sculpture, part visual spectacle PDWM is an alternate approach to chemistry, physics biology and sound. PDWM is organised by The Indian Sonic Research Organization, a sonic collective and co-op of artists that promote ephemeral, experimental performances by sonic artists.
