Ravanama is about the search for the mythological character, Ravana, through the many stories associated with him. On stage we see an actor in the process of making a show. Every time she decides on a way to start the show, an altogether different version takes her in another direction. Is there a link between all these stories?
Why is she so attracted to this man while all the world considers him evil? Is it to do with the performer's attraction to a form – Kathakali - a form that depicts Ravana in high scale and grandeur? Every time the actor dips into the ‘world’ of Kathakali she comes out with a further revelation of Ravana….
