PRESENTATION TATJANA  JAAGA | Thursday, 26th JULY | 7:30pm | Jaaga

NAVIGATING THE IN BETWEEN + On Building Arts Networks
Process, potentialities & contextual links
Lecture-presentation & discussion

JAAGA`s current resident artist Tatjana Fell, based in Berlin Germany, will introduce and discuss her conceptual & process based art work along presented projects.

Her mainly site specific work consist primarily out of multilayered installations whereby she generates referential settings by using video, photography, text and participatory elements. Relating to actual discourses and theory, working inter-disciplinarily and integrating the public are main elements. Her focal point is to provide access to a theme by creating networks of relations and references which allow to investigate established systems of valuation and hierarchies, their effects on society and possibilities of individual impact.
Located on the interface where observation freezes process into single frames her art work provides time to re-think, re-adjust, re-quest, re-position.

Additionally she will give an overview of her work as curator and co-founder of arttransponder, net, an independent art initative dedicated to interdisciplinary and participatory projects and operating since 2005 and will point out to current activist movements in Berlin which foster a network of independent art spaces.
