Shashank Jayaprasad talks about photography and his tail wagging muse—dogs! He will also take us on a journey through photographs from across India;talk about his experiments with the digital, film and polaroid mediums, as he captures stories from the forests of Masinagudi to the streets of our big cities.
Showcasing a range of digital, film and polaroid photographs—some processed in a darkroom with film and chemicals and many shot in the forests of Masinagudi—will lead us through a journey across the country. The impulse for Shashank’s photography is rooted in the ability of the medium to interact non-verbally with the subjects, whether people on the street or dogs. He willtalk about the ability of the medium to help people overcome their inhibitions and realise their potential.
