Come and join the Chinese Ink Painting Workshop and appreciate directly the traditional practices and versatility of Chinese brush painting under the expert guidance of Mr K S Srinivasa Murthy.
The Chinese Ink Painting Workshop is being held at NGMA Bengaluru from 16th August 2012 to 25th August 2012. The daily timing is from 10 am to 1 pm in two sessions with a ten minute break at 11:20 am.
Admission to workshop is limited to 20 participants on first come first serve basis.

Materials to be brought by each participant:
1. One bottle of Chinese Ink (available in liquid form in small containers in Bengaluru)
2. Six Chinese brushes: three kinds each in a small and medium size: wolf hair, rabbit hair, mixed hair. The ‘small’ and the ‘medium’ sizes are as the usual bristle
sizes brushes of 4-6 and 14-16 used as water color brushes.
3. Chinese colors/ gauche colors: lemon yellow, yellow ochre, mineral red (cinnabar), Indigo blue, apple green, sky blue and poster white.
4. About 20 sheets of (absorbent) Chinese paper commonly known as ‘rice paper’.
5. A sketch book or a few sketching papers along with charcoal/pen/pencil
6. The Chinese ink is indelible when stained. The participants are advised to protect their outfits, say by wearing aprons.
