The film was awarded as the ‘Best Film in Water for All category’ at the Vatavaran Wildlife & Environment Film Festival, in February 2014.
When "Candles in the Wind" by Kavita Bahl and Nandan Saxena was screened , it was very well received and the post screening discussion was very enriching.
Kavita and Nandan in town for a few days. They are national award winning filmmakers and in addition to screening documentaries they will be taking Photography and HDSLR Film Making workshop.
The independent film Dammed gives a window into struggle of dam-displaced citizens of Narmada valley against an exploitative government and venal dam corporations.
