The 7th edition of the Bengaluru International Film Festival is being held in Bengaluru from Dec 4th to 11th of this year. Mr. Krzysztof Zanussi, eminent film maker from Poland will be a special guest of honour at the festival and 8 of his feature films are being showcased under the category “Director’s Retrospective”.
During his stay in Bengaluru, he will present a 45 minute documentary about the Warsaw Chamber Opera, founded by Mr. Stefan Sutkowski in 1961. Mr. Sutkowski served as Managing and Artistic Director of the opera for 50 years, organising music festivals at the opera house, the most important being the Mozart Festival featuring all the operas of the Austrian composer.
Mr. Zanussi who has himself directed Opera in Italy will be in conversation with Mr. Chiranjiv Singh and Mr. Akumal Ramachander, who is responsible for organising the Director’s Retrospective at BIFFES this year.
