> Philosophy: A Romp Through Ethics | 3 Nov to 15 Dec | Rs. 1500
Dr. Alan Van Wyk, Amy Watson, Athena Kashyap & Dr. Rajesh Kasturirangan
Our lives are filled with ethical dilemmas: Should I tell a lie to a friend to make them happy? Is it OK to accept a bribe? Am I responsible for my neighbor’s safety? In this, JaagaU Philosophical Investigations course, we will explore these questions and many more as we learn to think seriously and philosophically about our ethical lives. Guided by Oxford University’s “A Romp Through Ethics for Complete Beginners” we will consider the foundations of ethical thought, investigating what it means for an action to be right or wrong, whether we can have moral knowledge, if ethics requires freedom, and the ethical relation between the individual and society. Together we will begin to think about what is Good and how we can bring the Good into our world.
