PARVAAZ is a Bangalore-based rock band. Its members include Khalid Ahmed (vocals, guitars), Kashif Iqbal (vocals, guitars), Fidel D’Souza (bass), Sachin Banandur (drums & percussion).
Parvaaz’ music can been described as a tasteful blend of blues, elements of rock and the experience of psychedelia through Kashmiri and Urdu lyrics. The content of the songs explore abstract experiences, ideas and also traditional literature through the languages of Kashmiri and Urdu poetry.
The band’s first EP “BEHOSH” was released in July 2012, to become the top selling album/artist on “OKListen!” – India’s leading platform to discover, listen and legally download independent music.
The track “Behosh” topped the charts on India’s leading independent music website NH7.
Parvaaz is currently working on a full-length studio album. A single – “KhufiyaDastaan” – was released recently to promote the upcoming album.
