Since its inception in 1997, Nature Morte has been at the forefront of artistic practice in India, and responsible for bringing it to the international platform. The gallery established itself with a generation of artists who has gone on to become widely known within India as well as internationally: Subodh Gupta, Jitish Kallat, Bharti Kher, Anita Dube, Mithu Sen, Thukral & Tagra, Raqs Media Collective, and Pushpamala N., among many others.
This weekend at the Oberoi, the gallery will display a wide variety of art works in various mediums (painting, photography, prints and drawings), from a selection of the artists (both established and emerging) regurlarly exhibiting in Delhi in the past few years.
