Christian Leotta is one of the youngest pianist ever to undertake a
recital series encompassing the entire corpus of Beethoven's 32 Piano Sonatas
in 2002, he has since performed fifteen cycles, most notably in international
music capitals such as Madrid, Mexico City, Montreal, Lima, Vancouver, Venice,
Quebec City, and Rio de Janeiro.
Following the extraordinary success of his live performances of
Beethoven, in 2004 he was awarded the prestigious President's Medal and in 2007 Atma Classique signed him to record the entire corpus of the 32
Piano Sonatas.
Highlights of the present season include engagements as a soloist and
with orchestra in Italy, Europe, America, and Asia and the performances of the
32 Piano Sonatas cycle in Bergamo, Messina and Trapani (Italy) and the Thai
premiere in Bangkok.
The program of the
concert at Alliance Française De
Bangalore includes Bach’s
Capriccio, Beethoven’s Sonata No. 23 and works by Rossini and Schubert.
